My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves here! Our meals took awhile to arrive to our table but our waitress was very sweet & accommodating. Our food was worth the wait, well seasoned, and filling. I ordered the cajun style grilled salmon entree and the flavor profile was perfect. The music and overall atmosphere really set the vibe too. Will definitely be back!

Came here hoping to find some decent quality food that is flavored. This restaurant delivered and did not disappoint! I ordered: -Brisket Soul Bowl with Mac n Cheese and Collard Cabbage Drink: Peach Ice tea Was not a disappointment at all! The food was Cooked and well Seasoned. Not greasy. Not salty. Not sugary. The Peach tea is good. (Not syrupy). And has a Peach in it wich is a good touch. I look forward to coming back to try more!

Very Impressed! Stumbled upon this restaurant when searching for a low key business lunch space while in York. Easy parking along side the building, clean and neat restaurant. Since it was nice outside we utilized the outside patio which is a genius use of space. Good service and food was excellent with very ample portions and fair prices. I selected the chicken cheese steak. Yum! Came with a large basket of fries. Super spot for some Hillbilly Wizard discussion! Already recommended to friends.

Staff was friendly. Best thing is the shrimp and rice bowl. Really good. The cheesesteak was a bit salty but not bad. The chicken sandwich was a bit dry but ok for being white meat

My first visit to the York Train show, coming up from Kentucky, we were looking for a soul food restaurant and came across this joule of a restaurant. The food was great, the owners and atmosphere were amazing, and so amazing I dined here two of my three day visit! Wished your restaurant was in Louisville Kentucky, I would be a regular and supporter of your fine dining! Blessings and peace for years to come! Rev. Jackson

I enjoyed a really nice dinner which consist of fried whiting which the breading was just right and the seasoning was perfect. I also had some hand cut fries which were just as good. The thing that added to the good meal was the nice background music. Overall it was a great experience.

My best friend from Philadelphia treated me to a birthday dinner. Of course I chose one of my favorite place, Skillet to plate. I told her you will not be disappointed. When we got to the restaurant she was so impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the place, while the nice soft music played in the background. She took a few bites out of her whiting, sweet potatoes and mac n cheese she was beyond impressed. We really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere so much.The owner and his wife are extremely pleasant and the young lady that took our order is always very nice and personable. If I could give 10 I would. If you want some good Ole fashion Soul Food! This is the place to come to!!! I have to say they have the best whiting fish in town!!!!

My family of 5 ate here and we loved it! The prices are very reasonable and the portions were large. The staff were wonderful and very friendly. We loved everything about this place and definitely would come back. The restaurant has a lounge area and a dining room. They also have a bar and bathrooms. Oh, and the soul bowls are delicious. They are a little big so they are great to share between two people. I personally am in love with their signature/house sauce.
